What is Valid N Research?
Valid N Research is a B2B sample provider for quantitative market research. We field from our own verified panel of business professionals, blend partner supply where a study needs more depth, screen every respondent on the role they claim, and deliver completed surveys to agencies and insights teams.
The panel is deliberately small, and members verify a work email at their employer when they join and every 90 days. When a study needs more depth than it can carry on its own, which is common for low incidence and enterprise audiences, we add vetted partner supply, and every source goes through the same pre-screen before anyone reaches your survey.
How the supply worksHow verification worksWhat B2B sample is
Our own panel
Business professionals recruited by invitation, with a work email verified at sign-up and every 90 days, rested between studies.
Partner supply
Vetted sources added per audience when a study needs more depth than the panel can carry.
Three screening layers
- Identity
- Role
- Category knowledge
Deduplicated across every source on the project.
Verified completes
Delivered to quota with a rejection log, and anything removed replaced at no cost.
B2B survey audiences with published feasibility
Reachable counts, incidence and field timing, published rather than held back until you ask. Reachable n is the qualified pool across our own panel and the partner supply we would use for that audience, which is why it can be larger than our own panel alone. Incidence is the yield against broad business supply for the screener described here, which is the basis a quote is built on; a tighter screener gives a lower rate.
| Audience | Reachable n | Incidence in broad supply | Field window |
|---|---|---|---|
| IT decision makersCIO and similar | 3,400 | 18% | 6 days |
| Finance and accounting leadersCFO and similar | 2,150 | 12% | 7 days |
| HR and people leadersCHRO and similar | 1,900 | 15% | 7 days |
| Marketing decision makersCMO and similar | 2,700 | 21% | 6 days |
| Small business ownersOwner and similar | 6,800 | 34% | 5 days |
| C-suite, 1,000+ employeesCEO and similar | 640 | 6% | 10 days |
Incidence sets the price
Cost per complete is mostly a function of how many people have to start the screener for one to qualify. Against broad business supply, a 6% audience takes about seventeen starts to produce one qualified respondent, and an accepted complete needs more than that once drop off and over quota are counted. Targeting from our own profiled panel does better than that, but the pool is finite, which is the real constraint on a senior audience. Publishing incidence is publishing the biggest part of the price, and it is the part you can check against the field.
These are the rates a vendor quotes against broad business supply, and they are what makes low incidence audiences expensive: every start costs money whether or not the person qualifies. Targeting from a profiled panel lifts the yield well above these figures. What it cannot change is the size of the qualified pool, which is what actually caps a C-suite study.
How we verify B2B survey respondents
B2B survey fraud is not consumer fraud. A respondent claiming a job title they do not hold passes the device and bot checks those tools are designed to catch. So we check the claim, not the click. Here is what that does to a batch of completes, illustrated at 18% incidence.
-
Layer 1
Participation
Device, network, location and duplicate signals are reviewed the moment a respondent enters, across every supply source on the project.
-
Layer 2
Role
Every respondent states their job title, seniority and company size, with company size asked as a number, and describes the role in their own words before entering your survey. Our own panel members have also verified a work email at the employer they name, when they joined and again every 90 days.
-
Layer 3
Category knowledge
One open ended question with an answer a practitioner tends to give specifically: which ERP, which identity provider, how the close runs. Answers are checked against the stated role and company before the respondent is sent to your survey. When we host the survey, a person also reviews the screening answers and removes anyone whose answers do not hold up.

Documentation
Every removal we make is logged with the reason and the stage. When we host the survey, that covers every removal. When you host it, completes you reject are replaced at no cost and logged with the reason you give us.
Know the cost. Know the plan.
Confirm the audience, the fieldwork window and the commercial terms before the study starts.
Feasibility for your brief
For standard B2B audiences, a feasibility response the same business day: reachable n, expected incidence, field window and a cost per complete. If your audience needs a deeper review, we say so rather than guess.
Pricing that holds
Your quoted cost per complete holds for the agreed brief, including when actual incidence comes in below the estimate. If you change the requirements, we confirm any pricing change before proceeding.
Quality exclusions handled
Completes that fail our review, or that you reject from your own survey, are replaced at no additional cost and recorded in the rejection log.

What is B2B survey sample?
B2B survey sample is a group of business professionals recruited to complete a quantitative survey, selected by criteria such as job title, seniority, company size and industry. A B2B sample provider sources, screens and verifies those respondents and delivers completed interviews to a research agency or corporate insights team.
How is B2B survey sample priced?
Per completed interview, and the price depends on the audience, the incidence rate, the interview length, the markets and any quotas. We quote each brief individually with a cost per complete that holds for the agreed specification. If you change the requirements, we confirm any price change before proceeding.
How do you verify that respondents hold the job titles they claim?
Three layers. Identity checks on device, network and duplicates at entry. Our own panel members verify a work email at the employer they name when they join and every 90 days. And every respondent, from every source, states their role and answers questions a practitioner tends to answer specifically, checked before they reach your survey. When we host the survey, a person also reviews the screening answers before the complete counts.
If you profile your own panel, why quote a 6% incidence?
Because incidence is a property of the screener against the supply a project uses, not a measure of our targeting. The figures we publish are the rates against broad business supply, which is the basis vendors quote on and the reason low incidence audiences cost what they do. Targeting from our own profiled panel does better than that. What profiling cannot change is the size of the qualified pool, and on senior audiences that pool, not the yield, is what caps a study.
Do you own a panel?
Yes. Valid N runs its own panel of business professionals, each recruited and verified by us, and it grows every month. When a study needs more reach than the panel can carry, we add vetted partner supply under the same verification standard. Every source goes through the same pre-screen before reaching your survey, and panel members also re-verify a work email every 90 days.
How fast is feasibility?
Same business day for standard B2B audiences, with reachable counts, expected incidence, field timing and a cost per complete that holds. Unusual specs can take longer and we say so up front rather than guess.
Can you deliver sample into my survey platform?
Yes. Sample is delivered by redirect into any hosted survey, including Qualtrics, Forsta, Decipher, IntelliSurvey, SurveyMonkey and Alchemer, and others on request. If your platform accepts a URL with parameters, we can deliver into it. We pass a respondent identifier and any quota variables on the way in, and read complete, screen out and over quota status on the way back, and we test the links with you before launch.
What if my audience is unusual or spans several markets?
Send the roles, company criteria, markets, target completes and timing you have in mind. We review the brief and confirm what is feasible, and at what cost, before you commit. If the audience is rare enough that we have to go and find the people rather than draw them from existing supply, we say so and price it per confirmed participant instead of per complete.
Send the spec. Get real numbers back.
Audience, market, target n, expected interview length. Feasibility the same business day for standard audiences, with reachable counts, an estimated qualification rate we believe and a quoted cost per complete that stays fixed for the agreed brief.
