About these terms

These terms cover your use of validnresearch.com, including its guides, calculators and feasibility request form. The website is operated by Valid N Research LLC, referred to here as “Valid N,” “we” or “us.”

By using the website, you agree to these terms to the extent they are enforceable under applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information about website visitors and business contacts. Reading or accepting these terms does not, by itself, give consent to data processing that requires separate consent.

Taking part in research is covered by the information provided for that study and our respondent privacy notice. These website terms do not set your incentive or panel membership rules.

Who the website is for

The website is intended for adults aged 18 or over who are exploring or arranging research services. If you act for a company, you must have authority to send its information and make any commitments on its behalf.

Please provide accurate contact and project details. You are responsible for having permission to share documents or information that belong to someone else.

Feasibility, prices and timing

Published audience sizes, example prices, completion estimates and fieldwork timelines are planning information. They are not a reservation of respondents or a promise that a particular project can be delivered.

Feasibility depends on the audience, markets, interview length, qualification rate, quotas, study design and available supply. We review those details before confirming a project. A request sent through the website does not place an order or create a payment obligation.

A quote applies to its stated scope, assumptions and validity period. Changes to the brief can require a revised price or schedule. Any commitment to deliver services must be recorded in the written project agreement described below.

Project agreements

Paid services are governed by the written agreement accepted by both Valid N and the client. This may be a master services agreement together with a statement of work, an order form, or another written project confirmation. A quote can form part of that agreement if it is expressly incorporated and accepted.

The project agreement sets the deliverables, price, payment terms, responsibilities, cancellation terms and any commitments about quality, replacements or timing. It takes priority over these website terms for the services it covers. A website update does not change an existing project agreement. Changes to an agreed project must be confirmed in writing by both parties.

Calculators and research guides

Our tools help you explore a research brief. Their outputs depend on what you enter and on the assumptions stated with the tool. Check those assumptions and the result before using it to make a decision.

A sample size or margin of error calculation does not, by itself, establish that a sample is representative or free from bias. A cost estimate is not a quote. General guidance cannot account for every study design, audience or commercial constraint.

Using the website responsibly

You may use the website for lawful research and business purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to access private systems, accounts or information without authorization.
• Interfere with the site, introduce malicious code or use automated requests that disrupt normal access.
• Send misleading requests, impersonate another person or submit material you have no right to disclose.
• Use the site to distribute spam or unlawful, abusive or infringing content.
• Copy substantial parts of the site into another product, commercial dataset or model training collection without permission, except where the law permits it.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, protect the site or comply with the law. Ordinary links to our public pages and normal search engine indexing are permitted.

Website content and your materials

Valid N or its licensors own the website's text, design, graphics, tools and other content. You may read, download or print reasonable portions for your own internal business use, keeping any ownership notices intact. You may link to a public page or quote a short passage with clear attribution, subject to applicable law.

Contact hello@validnresearch.com before republishing substantial content, embedding a tool or using our name or logo in a way that suggests an endorsement.

You retain your rights in the briefs, documents and other materials you send us. Sending a brief does not give us ownership of it. We may use it to assess your request, communicate with you and perform work you authorize, subject to the applicable agreement and privacy notice.

Sending a brief or message

Send only the information needed to explain the request. Before sharing confidential respondent records, personal information about other people or commercially sensitive documents, agree the handling requirements with us and arrange any necessary confidentiality agreement.

A website form or email alone does not create a separate confidentiality agreement. This does not remove any confidentiality or privacy duty that already applies under law or an existing contract.

If a form opens an email draft, the request reaches us only when you send the email. Opening or reviewing the draft is not confirmation that we have received it.

Other websites and services

Links to external sites are provided for reference or convenience. Their operators are responsible for their content and services, and their own terms and privacy notices apply. A link does not necessarily mean that Valid N endorses the operator or its claims.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but pages and tools can contain errors or become outdated. We may correct, change or remove content, and access can be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons.

To the extent permitted by law, the website and its informational tools are supplied as available, without a guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in this section changes an express commitment in a separate project agreement.

Responsibility for website use

To the extent the law allows, Valid N is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings, arising from use of this website or reliance on its general information and calculators.

These exclusions concern website use. They do not replace the liability provisions in an applicable project agreement or excuse a failure to meet obligations under that agreement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain available.

Changes and other terms

We may revise these terms as the website or our services change. The revision date appears near the top of this page. Where the law requires notice of a material change or your agreement to it, we will follow that requirement. Changes do not apply retrospectively to an existing project agreement.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a provision does not, by itself, waive it. These terms do not require arbitration or select a court or governing law for a project; any such provision must be found in the applicable agreement.
